Lycopodii Extract

Lycopodii extract is a natural botanical ingredient derived from the dried whole herb of Lycopodium japonicum Thunb. (Lycopodium clavatum L.), a perennial herb widely cultivated and distributed across most regions of China. Raw materials are harvested in summer and autumn when the plants reach peak growth, followed by impurity removal, cleaning and natural drying for subsequent production. Adopting standardized and mature production procedures, we process qualified raw materials through cutting, secondary drying, and employ multiple advanced extraction technologies including water extraction, ethanol extraction and compound solvent extraction via maceration, percolation and reflux methods. The lycopodii extracted solution is filtered, concentrated and purified to eliminate impurities, then processed into fine powder through spray drying or vacuum freeze-drying, with final pulverization and sieving to ensure uniform particle size. The standard specification of our product is 10:1, and customized specifications are available to meet diverse client requirements. Presenting as uniform tawny to brown fine powder with slight odor and mild taste, this extract features excellent water solubility, enabling homogeneous dispersion in various formulation systems. It contains a rich spectrum of active ingredients, mainly including alkaloids such as lycopodine and clavatonine, triterpenoids like lycoclavanol and lycodolin, plant sterols comprising β-sitosterol and stigmasterol, as well as phenolic acids including vanillic acid and ferulic acid, along with a small amount of flavonoids and volatile oil components. All products are tested and verified by TLC and UV testing methods, complying with GB/T29602-2013 industry standards and enterprise internal quality control criteria, serving as a reliable natural raw material for pharmaceuticals, dietary supplements, cosmetics and other industrial fields.
