Pepper extract is a natural active substance extracted from the dried, nearly mature or mature fruit of the pepper plant (Piper nigrum L.), a member of the Piperaceae family, through processes such as ethanol extraction. The extraction process involves washing, drying, and crushing the pepper fruit, followed by extraction with ethanol of an appropriate concentration. After filtration to remove impurities, preliminary purification yields a pepper extract containing various active ingredients, the core of which is piperine. It also contains small amounts of piperamide, piperine oil, and other accessory compounds, which collectively constitute the basic characteristics of the pepper extract. The quality of the pepper extract is closely related to the variety and maturity of the pepper raw material.
