Passion Flower Flavonoid 5%

Passion flower flavonoid 5% are a plant extract prepared from the dried above-ground parts of the Passiflora genus plants. They are processed through conventional extraction procedures such as solvent extraction, filtration for impurity removal, vacuum concentration, and spray drying. The total flavonoid content is determined by ultraviolet spectrophotometry using rutin as the reference substance, and is marked as 5%. The finished passion flower flavonoid 5% is mostly a fine powder of brownish-yellow to brown color, with the characteristic odor of the raw materials. it is readily soluble in polar organic solvents such as methanol and ethanol and exhibits moderate solubility in water. Passion flower flavonoid 5%'s core active constituents are flavonoids-primarily marker compounds such as isovitexin, vitexin, orientin, and isoorientin-accompanied by minor amounts of alkaloids, phytosterols, and amino acids.
