Tianeptine Sodium Salt

Tianeptine sodium salt is a modified sodium salt derivative of tianeptine and is currently the mainstream commercial specification available on the market. The high-purity commercial tianeptine sodium salt has a simple and pure composition, with the core active ingredient being the tianeptine sodium ion salt. There are no additional inert fillers or artificial color additives. The molecular structure introduces sodium ions to the original tricyclic parent nucleus, and this modification is the key to its superior water solubility compared to the free base. It is produced through an artificial chemical synthesis process. First, the crude tianeptine free base is synthesized, then sodium ions are introduced through an acid-base neutralization reaction. After acidification crystallization, multiple recrystallizations for purification, sterile water washing to remove impurities, vacuum drying and sieving, the final high-purity sodium salt product is obtained. It is a white crystalline fine powder. Some batches may present a very light pale yellow color, which is a normal process color difference. The powder is dry and fine, has good fluidity, no lumps or hard lumps. The high-purity product has almost no odor, when close to the powder, only a very faint raw material flavor can be smelled, without pungent chemical odors or putrid smells. When dissolved in pure water, the odor is light, and there is no volatile odor. It has excellent water solubility. It can be quickly dissolved in room temperature water, and after dissolution, there are no suspended substances or precipitates; it is also easily soluble in organic solvents such as methanol and dichloromethane, balancing both water solubility and partial lipid solubility characteristics.
